The vehicles in the new Honda lineup can be equipped with some of the most advanced safety features available. From the Honda Sensing® safety suite to additional driver assist technologies, there is plenty for Alpharetta-area drivers to learn about when it comes to Honda safety. One safety system that our Cumming customers often ask about is Honda LaneWatch™. So, what is Honda LaneWatch™, and what does it do? Find out in this guide from Lou Sobh Honda.
How does Honda LaneWatch™ work? Honda LaneWatch™ uses a camera installed below the right passenger-side mirror to relay an image of the area on the right side of the vehicle to the central display screen. Similar to a blind spot monitoring system, this makes it easier and safer for you to change lanes or make turns. It’s important to note that Honda LaneWatch™, like all safety and driver assist systems, is intended to enhance your safety and is not a substitute for safe driving practices.
Honda LaneWatch™ is activated when you use the right turn signal. As the turn signal lever is clicked on for a right-hand turn, the camera automatically powers on and you will see a live video feed of your blind zone on your Honda touchscreen. You can also switch on or switch off LaneWatch™ by pressing the button on the end of the turn signal lever. If you’d like to change the LaneWatch™ settings, just follow these steps:
